Getting to the Hostel on your arrival:
By car:  Exit from I-10 at the Airline Dr/Tulane Ave. exit.
From the airport:: Take the Jefferson Parish airport bus  (JET-E1-Downtown Route). The bus stops at Canal Street/Jefferson Davis, which is about 8 blocks from the hostel.  The fare is $2.00.

Or reserve transportation via   New Orleans Airport Shuttle
By Greyhound Bus or Megabus.  Take the Loyola Streetcar and RTA Tulane #39  from Union Passenger Station

Flat rate for Taxis from Airport to Site 61 Hostel is $36 for two people.

GETTING AROUND NEW ORLEANS: 

 CAESAR’S SUPERDOME OR SMOOTHIE KING CENTER:

JUST 1.6 MILES FROM SITE 61 HOSTEL.  LEAVE YOUR CAR AT THE HOSTEL AND TAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. AFTER THE EVENT, YOU ARE 4-6 BLOCKS FROM THE FRENCH \QUARTER.

Public Transportation: Three bus lines and two streetcar lines run just a few blocks from the hostel
#39 Tulane  ( across the street from the hostel):  Goes to Caesar’s Superdome, Smoothie King Center, Canal St./CBD, French Quarter (24 hours)
#32 Leonidas-Treme:  Goes to French Quarter, Audubon Park and Zoo
#90 Carrollton: Goes to City Park, Fairgrounds/Jazz Fest
#47 Canal-Cemeteries Streetcar: Goes to French Quarter, Cemeteries, City Park  (24 hours)

One-way fare for the buses and streetcars is $1.25, or you can buy an all-inclusive 24-hour pass for $3.00.
