Kitchen

Site 61 guests will have full access to our kitchen area. Located downstairs near the dining room, the kitchen is stocked with an assortment of cooking equiptment for you to be able to reheat your leftovers or prep a simple meal.

One item that makes a hostel different from a vacation rental or a hotel is that there is no permanent cooking facilities (per New Orleans regulations). You won’t find a stove or oven, but we do have an assortment of small kitchen appliances to make your stay more comfortable.

Guests will have access to a fridge, freezer, lockers for dry storage, plates, cups, mugs, bowls, utensils, basic seasonings, pots, pans, and small appliances such as a toaster, hot plate, toaster oven, and microwave shared by all guests.

Since these items are shared by all guests, we ask that you mark all food with your name, date you purchased/ received it, and date you check out, and that you are courteous and use the minimal amount of fridge and dry storage as necessary.

Additionally, all guests are expected to wash their own dishes. We supply dish soap, sponges, and drying racks for guest use.
